Who are we? Where are we from? Why does this site exist?

These might be some of the questions you have on entering the site.

Well I am a video game addict, hooked on Classic Video Games and I hail from London. I am now in my forties and remember the good old days in the arcades, local chippy or wherever a coin-op could be found.

My first 'High Score' was on a Space Invaders cabinet in a service station at The Severn Bridge way back in the eighties vainly trying to impress my then girlfriend. Looking back on it she probably wasn't impressed at all.

As a hobby I started to learn how to create Web Sites. While surfing the net I was amazed at how many sites there were dedicated to Classic Video Games. So I thought why not create my own site dedicated to the games I remember most fondly from my youth hopefully bringing back memories for many others at the same time.

With the advent of MAME and other emulators the games of our youth have been reborn and a new generation can appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that went into original video games.

You can keep your Getaway and Grand Theft Auto on The Playstation 2, give me the Classics, they win every time. Nearly every modern game has its roots in Classic Video Gaming.

This site has been created as a means to celebrate an old subculture which has now become mainstream. It celebrates youth and gaming in the late seventies and early eighties, a unique time in history that I personally am glad to have lived through.
